EAST AFRICA: Banana blight puts livelihoods at risk

KAMPALA-NAIROBI, 17 June 2009 (IRIN) - The bacterial banana Xanthomonas wilt (BXW) disease will endanger the livelihoods of millions of East African farmers if left uncontrolled, according to specialists.
